About the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced CDL A Driver for a local delivery position in Ashland, Virginia. This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, home-daily routes, and deliveries of palletized medical supplies to hospitals throughout the region.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $26.27 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start Time: Approximately 5:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Home Time: Home daily
• Employment Type: Temp to perm

Job Details

• Route Type: Local and regional
• Freight: Palletized medical supplies
• Delivery Locations: Hospitals
• Service Area: Charlotte, Roanoke, Harrison, and surrounding areas
• Freight Handling: Light touch freight
• Equipment: Automatic tractor-trailer
• Trailer: 48-foot trailer; 28-foot trailer on Wednesdays

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an automatic tractor-trailer.
• Deliver medical supplies to hospitals throughout the service area.
• Safely unload palletized freight at delivery locations.
• Handle light touch freight as required.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Follow all applicable DOT, FMCSA, and customer safety requirements.
• Complete assigned routes while providing professional customer service.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Experience handling touch freight is preferred.
• Ability to safely handle palletized medical supplies.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
